Michiru Kita is a girl who has Shinigami Eye, which allows them to see a ring around the neck of a person. This ring symbolizes the person of the imminence of death, once they are marked for death, a gray ring, which is invisible to the normal people, appears around their necks. Over time, the ring is darker, and once the ring turns black, the person dies. Chika Akatsuki and Shito Tachibana, two boys in her class, both black rings around their necks, but to his surprise, they are not yet dead. It is revealed that, after a tragic accident which would kill them both, the two boys entered into a secret agreement with a loan office called Zombie-Loan. In exchange for their continued existence, the two have to hunt zombies for the office of the loan. When Michiru involved with them, it feels that his life has become more complicated.
